The order of work, on a timeline.

Workflow shows the items on your calendar as a Gantt-style timeline. Change a date in either view and both follow, with the same filters and saved views.

Built on the calendar

There’s nothing to copy across: an item on the timeline is the item on the calendar. Hide a category, show another, filter by owner or open a saved view, and the timeline follows.

Tracks and phases

Group rows by track (a team, a room, a department) or by phase. Drag a task onto another and it goes inside: the phase spans what it holds and folds away with a click. Phases can sit inside phases.

Dependencies

Drag a handle from one item to another to make it follow. When something runs late, what follows moves to the next working day, only as far as it needs to. Moving earlier never pulls anything back.

Milestones and deadlines

Make any date a milestone. Lock it and it becomes a deadline that never moves: when work runs into it, the arrow turns red and Kapcal tells you, with Undo.

Critical path and spare time

Outline the chain that sets your end date, and see how many working days everything else can slip.

Owners, status and flags

Pick each item’s owner from your team’s list, mark it Planned, In progress, Done or Cancelled, and flag what matters. Cancelled work stays on the timeline, crossed out, and stops pushing anything.

Days, weeks or months

Zoom from days to months. Point at the date row for a line down the timeline; today is always marked.

Undo

Every change on the timeline, a move, an arrow or a phase, can be undone one step at a time.
